Signée en bas à droite. Acquise directement auprès de l’atelier de l’artiste à Bahia, au Brésil, en 1969, par le père du précédent propriétaire.

This rare tapestry, Victoria Amazonica, made in 1969 by the Brazilian artist Genaro de Carvalho, is a masterpiece of modernist textile art.
